Well the moment we have all been waiting on. Abby has been walking holding onto your fingers for a while now but tonight she finally did it on her own. Here are a couple of video clips that we took. The second video is the better of the two.

Our Life
Well, what has been happening I hear you all ask. Lets begin with David. He continues to teach at the high school on Lewis until the 27th of June when it closes for the summer. His contract as probabtioner ends after the summer and so he has been applying for any and all teaching posts that he can (High school maths and physics). He interviewed in Aberdeen a few months ago and was offered the job but then was told it was no longer available as they could not fund the position so we were back to square one. He has since interviewed for several other posts all over the country but not been successful. We are currently waiting for word on several other applications that he submitted. Things at school should get a bit quieter soon as the kids will be off on study leave soon.
Abigail is now 10 months old and still not interested in crawling she would much rather walk, but only if she has a finger in each hand! She is really fast on her feet and loves to kick a ball around the floor. She is very much into peek-a-boo and clapping, waving and putting her arms up.
She is vocalizing but does not seem to have any words yet though they play a big part in her life as she is a little book worm and we are teaching her how to read using a special dvd series. Her hair is slowly but surely coming through but the colour seems to depend on what day it is.
She still just has the bottom 2 teeth but has been grumpy enough that we think that more teeth will appear soon. It would take a novel to tell all of her ins and outs so that will do it for now.
As for me - I am the same old same old, nothing changes. I take care of Abby day in and day out. Clean the house as best I can (I don't get much time and it is old and damp), I cook meals for us and Abby, clean up afterward, laundry that goes on for ever and again I could fill a novel as I am sure that any of you mothers out there will know!
My family has had some major events lately. My Dad (John Renwick) has just come through surgery to remove cancer of the liver and bowel (following over a year of chemo) the surgery went well and the recovery is going as expected. He still has a long way to go.
My brother and sister-in-law (John Anthony and Kristen) are expecting a baby at the end of May and their first child (Brennan) celebrated his 2nd birthday at the start of this month.
David's family is doing well. We spent some time with his Grandparents from Arizona when we were on the mainland for the Spring break. It was the first meeting with Abigail which as you can imagine was long awaited. Daniel will be sitting his highers soon but we know that he will do well, he is a good student.
That is about it for now. We will keep you posted as we know more. Please pray for David's job situation and our move as well as the recovery of my dad and the safe and quick arrival of my new nephew/niece?
We send our love to you all.
